The appeal was confirmed by the Supreme Court – STEVCE JAKIMOVSKI ODIV VO ZATVOR

The Macedonian court in Skopje has confirmed a one-year prison sentence for ex-mayor of Karpoš, Stevo Jakimovski, in the matter of the construction of the Karpoš town hall. The court informed that after the appeals of the accused and the competent 1st instance judge, a second trial was ordered, which confirmed the first instance verdict of non-compliance with the building construction law, for which Jakimovski was sentenced to a prison term of one year. In the sentence, he was also given a prison term of one year in a cell in the town hall building, which will be moved to a small annex in the building from 19 March to 15 August 2019.

The second trial was ordered after the appeal of the accused and the competent 1st instance judge.
