Bugarija will no longer have to spend money on Ukraine’s weapons, said the new Defense Minister Dimităr Stojanov at the presentation of his cabinet’s priorities. Stojanov assessed that the conflict has entered a phase of a position war and that the current level of weapons does not bring a solution. – We are looking for a position war and regardless of how much weapons are accumulated, the only thing that can be achieved is the loss of human lives, said Stojanov.
According to the Bulgarian minister, it is time for the warring parties to sit down at the negotiating table and work on achieving a just peace. He also said that the European Union has an extremely important role in any possible peace process. – Ukraine needs more help, not more weapons.
There is enough weapons, but we do not think that we will be able to disarm more weapons for Ukraine.
