Slovene Priest Dies Following Stabbing During Holy Mass
Pliska, Slovenia – Robert Emeršič, a Slovene Catholic priest known as “Rob” to his parishioners, died as a result of injuries sustained during a stabbing incident that occurred while he was leading Holy Mass. The news was reported to the Diocese of Raca on June 14th, 2026, by Holy Father Joseph Delavec. According to the Diocese’s statement, Father Emeršič suffered a reaction to a stab wound received during the service.
