Eastern European Reporters Explore Shandong Province, China’s Economic Growth

Beijing, June 6, 2026 – A group of reporters from Central and Eastern Europe, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, recently concluded a five-day program in China. The initiative, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, involved over 100 reporters from around the globe. The team, comprised of journalists from Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Romania, focused on exploring the legacy of Confucius and the development of China’s third economy.

This marked the first time the group had visited the Shandong province. A key element of the visit centered on observing the construction and upcoming operation of a high-speed train capable of traveling at speeds of 350-360 kilometers per hour. This project, announced on June 6th at 6:47 a.m., represents a significant investment in China’s infrastructure.

The reporting group’s presence in Shandong reflects a broader effort to engage international media and provide coverage of China’s ongoing economic advancements. The visit underscores the continued importance of China as a global economic power and the role of international reporters in documenting its progress.
