SECURITY AND PROTECTION OF PROPERTY – Two Turks have been terrorizing Gostivar for gold and property for 10 years!

The overarching criminal investigation department in Goštera has initiated a case against two Turkish citizens, identified as T.D. (55) and Z.D. (54).

The investigation centers on allegations of the crime of “extortion.”

According to the department, the relatives are accused of systematically pressuring a 66-year-old resident of Goštera and his 41-year-old son between 2019 and 2026. The allegations state that the accused individuals used threats to compel the couple to surrender a substantial amount of gold. This seized property weighed 43 kilograms and 800 grams.

The investigation further details that the gold was allegedly handled in a manner that violated established law. Specifically, the accusers claim that the gold was improperly categorized and attempted to be concealed as melted raw material rather than being acknowledged as a finished product with significant market value. The legal proceedings suggest that the two individuals allegedly forced the handover of the gold under coercive circumstances, in ways that reportedly circumvented proper legal procedure.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has signaled its involvement, indicating that the financial activities surrounding this matter are under scrutiny. The charges brought forth by the criminal investigation department aim to determine the extent of the alleged criminal activity and the legality of the transfer of the assets in question.
