The participatory film “Zemishte” is scheduled for open premieres in two locations: Prilep and Bitola. In Prilep, the screening will take place at Kamen Bay, while the premiere in Bitola is set for the small plateau situated in front of the Officer’s House tomorrow evening. Each projection will be accompanied by a film forum featuring a discussion with the collective involved in the film’s creation.
“Zemishte” is an experimental film that emerged from an extended, multi-month educational and research process. Its development involved an intergenerational collective drawn from Bitola and the broader Peloponnese region. The film was developed under the umbrella of two projects: “Preceded differences” and “Intergenerational visual trajectories.”
The creation process for Zemishte was intensive, spanning several months and incorporating various workshops.
These sessions provided a platform for students to engage in dialogue, theatre exercises, and psychodrama. The resulting work reflects this deep, collaborative engagement. The open showings are intended to facilitate further discussion surrounding the film’s themes and its unique participatory nature.
