Oncology is a huge debt to the Ministry of Clinical Institutions, the joint services of Clinical Hill owe 35 million euros

Sasho Klekovski, the Director of the Health Insurance Fund (FZO) and a candidate for the Ministry of Health, reported on the financial status of several medical institutions. He stated that the joint services of the clinical institutes owe approximately 35 million euros. Furthermore, he noted that the oncology clinic represents the largest outstanding debt among the various facilities.

Klekovski addressed the issue of debt, specifying that the financial burden at the oncology clinic is an inherited liability, estimating it at around one billion denars. However, he argued that this debt level is manageable when viewed against the clinic’s current operational budget. According to Klekovski, the oncology department possesses a budget of five billion denars.

He calculated that the one-billion-denar debt constitutes only 20 percent of the total allocated budget. In an interview with MRT 1, where he discussed various health sector matters, Klekovski provided this financial overview. He emphasized that while the debt figure may sound substantial, the overall financial structure of the clinic allows for effective management of the outstanding amount relative to its substantial funding.

His statements provided a specific breakdown regarding the financial obligations across the different medical services.
