Direct Airline and Cargo Rail Link Agreed Between Turkey and North Macedonia
Skopje – Following meetings between key figures, agreements have been reached to establish direct air and rail transport links between Turkey and North Macedonia. Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Aleksandar Nikoloski, announced the outcomes of discussions with Turkish Minister for Trade, Omer Bolat, and Minister for Transport, Abdulkader Uraoglu. The agreements include the launch of a direct Ankara-Skopje airline route and the development of cargo railway transport between the two countries.
Turkish Minister for Trade, Omer Bolat, confirmed the developments via social media, X-Jah, stating that both nations are continuing efforts to achieve a bilateral trade exchange valued at $2 billion. Nikoloski, in a Facebook post, detailed the discussions held during the Turkish-Macedonian Business Forum. Alongside Minister Uraoglu, he facilitated the agreements, emphasizing the strategic importance of enhanced transport connectivity.
