The positive list has been expanded to include three new anticoagulants: enoxaparin, nadroparin, and rivaroxaban. According to Sašo Klepovski, General Director of the Health Insurance Fund, these medications will become available to patients starting July 1st. During a press conference held in Vlatadon, Klepovski detailed the specific availability timelines for each drug.
Enoxaparin is noted to be available under two different brands, while nadroparin will be supplied through one brand. Rivaroxaban is anticipated to be available during a designated special period in the coming days. Klepovski confirmed that both enoxaparin and nadroparin will be covered by a refund and will require a doctor’s prescription for dispensing.
Regarding cost, the two specified anticoagulants will range in price from 1,100 to 2,700 dinars, depending on the prescribed dose and the total duration of the therapy. The coverage provided by the list is set for a patient group size between 160 and 240 individuals. This expansion broadens the accessibility of critical blood-thinning medications within the healthcare system.
