Macedonia Diplomatic Review Following Sensitive Note Publication
Yesterday, the Ambassador of Macedonia was summoned to the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Trade (MDRiMT) for a formal review following the publication of a diplomatic note concerning the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Hristijan Miskovski, President of the Republic of Macedonia, and his family. The MDRiMT initiated a detailed investigation into the matter, informed strategic partners including NATO, and received a comprehensive account from Minister of State Tihomir Muscunski. The investigation follows the prior summons of the Bulgarian Ambassador to MDRiMT.
The Ambassador expressed significant dissatisfaction and raised concerns regarding perceived violations of established agreements. A detailed investigation was also undertaken in response to the Ambassador’s statements. Muscunski voiced particular concern regarding the potential implications of the case for relations with neighboring Bulgaria.
The MDRiMT emphasized the importance of upholding diplomatic protocols and conducting a thorough examination of the events. The situation remains under active review, with our focus on understanding the full context and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
