Increased Security Measures Announced Following Rising Fatalities Among Macedonian Citizens
Skopje – Minister of Internal Affairs Panče Toskofski has announced intensified security measures following a month of concerning statistics regarding deaths of Macedonian citizens. Speaking during an appearance on Top Thema of Telma TV, Toskofski cited the recent data as a key factor in implementing new safety protocols. Over the past month, twelve Macedonian citizens have died.
Of those, five fatalities involved individuals operating motorcycles. Minister Toskofski stated that three of the deceased motorcycle riders were not wearing helmets, and he attributed these deaths to violations of traffic regulations. “I am sure that the three who died did not wear a helmet.
They are all the ones who run the motorcycle business and break the rules and endanger the safety of other students in the context,” Toskofski commented. The Minister affirmed that the police will maintain a continued focus on enforcing traffic laws and imposing penalties on those found to be in violation. He emphasized the importance of adhering to safety regulations to prevent further incidents.
Toskofski’s announcement follows a period of heightened concern regarding road safety within the Macedonian population.
