MOSKIT OF SKOPJE – His father killed him to save his mother

Police authorities in Skopje detained a 31-year-old man, B.D., yesterday evening after he allegedly inflicted stab wounds on his father, E.L., at a residence in the Bit Pazar area. According to reports, the incident occurred on July 12, 2026, around 22:35 hours at the family home. The sequence of events began when E.L., who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly physically attacked his 54-year-old wife (the mother of B.D.).

Following this initial altercation, B.D. is accused of attacking his father with a knife. Following the confrontation, police officers intervened and took B.D.

into custody. The wife was subsequently transported to St. Naum Ohridski Hospital for medical evaluation.

In addition to documenting the assault, the body of E.L. was submitted for an autopsy as ordered by the public prosecutor. Authorities stated that a formal report would be filed after the complete documentation of the case.

The incident highlights a volatile domestic situation in Skopje. While the police addressed the immediate violence, the details surrounding the initial altercation remain under investigation.
