Mitskoiski: The Bugarska note is organized propaganda and a game of low passions

Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Hristijan Mitkoski, stated that the “Bugarska note” constitutes organized propaganda and low-level political maneuvering. Speaking during an interview with MPRT to mark the two-year anniversary of the Republic of Macedonia’s government mandate, Mitkoski asserted that recent provocations have escalated into an organized campaign targeting the nation. According to Mitkoski, this campaign aims to promote what he described as non-defamatory work.

He characterized the actions as a significant insult to the country’s influence. During his statement on June 26, 2026, he argued that political figures are being utilized to advance this agenda. “This is a low-level play and organized campaign that is noticeable in this period,” Mitkoski stated.

He added that the government remains focused on reconstruction efforts and is utilizing the available space. He suggested that the objective of the campaign is to “promote what nobody can defame.” Mitkoski further characterized the efforts as “skillful and cunning.” The Prime Minister’s comments framed the “Bugarska note” and associated activities as a coordinated political effort rather than genuine discourse.
