Christian Mitzkoski, the Macedonian president, attended the 48th traditional Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising march held at the St. Petar and Pavle Church courtyard in Gorna Licica. The event was marked by a sense of pride and honor, with attendees paying tribute at the Kruševo pat to the Ilindenites and all contributors to the Macedonian liberation.

Participants expressed hopes for the blessing of the new pat and the continuation of the tradition to unite both the present and future generations. As the president of VMRO-DPMNE, Mitzkoski served as the patron for this year’s observance. The ceremony was also attended by several ministers and mayors.

Archbishop Stefan offered a blessing to the students participating in the march. Additionally, Minister for Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, was present at the event. The gathering underscored the enduring cultural and historical significance of the Ilinden Uprising within the Macedonian community.

The participation of high-ranking officials and community members reinforced the commitment to preserving the memory and ideals associated with the struggle for Macedonian self-determination.
