The foundation of this transition is a free-flow vehicle movement technology. Instead of manual toll collection, vehicle passage will be monitored by an electronic apparatus installed overhead.
Vehicles equipped with toll transponders will be identified electronically, while other vehicles will be processed through automatic license plate recognition. Under the new structure, charges will be applied to vehicles utilizing the toll service.
