Western Balkan Youth Cultural Fund Concludes with Emphasis on Cultural Bridgebuilding

Limani, June 20, 2026 – The “Western Balkan Youth Cultural Fund” project concluded with officials highlighting the vital role of culture in fostering connections among young people and supporting broader social policy initiatives. The closing ceremony, held at 10:40 a.m., was attended by Social Policy, Demography and Youth Minister Fatmir Limani, alongside representatives from the Regional Office for Youth Employment (RYCO) and the Federal Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. The three-year regional initiative, supported by the German ministry, aimed to promote youth cultural work and intercultural understanding across the Western Balkans.

Participants included representatives from institutions, the diplomatic corps, cultural organizations, and young people from across the region, who showcased the project’s achievements. Minister Limani addressed the audience, emphasizing the project’s significance and its positive impact on the lives of participating young people. He underscored the importance of using cultural exchange as a “bridge” to build stronger relationships and promote dialogue within the Western Balkans.
