Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the end of the war in Ukraine would be postponed with weapons, not negotiations. He strongly criticized the open letter sent by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Vladimir Putin, calling it unacceptable, Euronews reported. Lavrov said that Moscow was particularly upset about the fact that the letter “calls down on the whole world” and that “the sensible side is not being taken into account.” He added that the Kremlin was “telling Ukraine that it is not interested in negotiations,” and that in response to repeated insults from Kyiv, Moscow should start talks with Moscow.
Lavrov repeated the previous statement by Putin that “negotiations are not a priority for the end of the separatist invasion, and the tactics of the involved parties are not being taken into account.”
