Ivanovski to Filipche: IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO BE CONFIDENTIAL AND CONSTRUCT

Igor Ivanovski, a member of the reform group within SDSM, has publicly stated that he will not be pressured into discussing the internal situation of SDSM, which he has characterized as a weak and stagnant opposition. Ivanovski directly refuted accusations made by the SDSM leadership suggesting that he intends to transform the party into a new political entity. He maintained that he cannot be coerced or blackmailed by the party structure.

Addressing the possibility of coercion, Ivanovski asserted his long-standing commitment to the party, stating, “Can they blackmail me or Slavjanka? I have been a member of SDSM since 1994 and I will remain a member until the end of my life.” He argued that such actions would be ineffective against a dedicated member. Furthermore, Ivanovski directed a warning against what he perceives as preemptive efforts to discredit him, citing their current activities.

His statements suggest a continued commitment to SDSM, despite internal disagreements. The discussion highlights ongoing tensions regarding the party’s direction and leadership dynamics. Ivanovski emphasized that his stance remains independent of any pressure from within the SDSM apparatus, positioning himself as an established figure within the party structure.
