Iran negotiated a peace treaty with the intermediary of the war between Israel and Hezbollah

Iran Designates Hezbollah as Threat Amidst Regional Conflict

Iran has formally designated Hezbollah as an organization posing a potential threat to the ongoing peace process in the region, currently in its fourth month. The move follows the renewed fighting between Hezbollah and Israel, which began in March, shortly after Iran’s retaliatory strikes against Israel and Syria. The conflict has intensified following the initial attacks.

Hezbollah representatives have affirmed that their actions receive support from Iran. Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, stated on March 20th via Al Ma’aden television that “The war will end only when it ends in Lebanon.”

Araqchi further emphasized the conditions for a resolution, stating, “The end of the war in Lebanon must be accompanied by the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territories they have occupied.”

Alongside this development, Iran has also reopened the border with the Druze enclave of Ormuzd, a move that adds another layer of complexity to the volatile situation. The involvement of Hezbollah, supported by Iran, continues to be a central factor in the escalating conflict with Israel.
