Dr. Danko Skaloški, a full professor emeritus, recently addressed the Philological Faculty in Skopje. Born in Skopje in 1956, Dr.
Skaloški began his academic journey by studying theatre direction in Belgrade, followed by studies in philosophy at the Philological Faculty in Belgrade. He completed his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the Philological Faculty in Skopje in 1981. His advanced studies included earning a master’s degree in 1992, for which his thesis focused on “Ethics of Responsibility by Hans Jonas.” He subsequently obtained his doctorate in 2000 with a dissertation titled “Antipodes of Contemporary Music Philosophy.” Within the academic structure, he was appointed associate professor in 2000 and achieved the rank of full professor in 2010.
Dr. Skaloški further developed his expertise through postdoctoral studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main during 2010 and 2015, where he was supervised by Prof. Axel Honnet.
His ongoing scientific and research interests encompass various areas within the humanities. The continuous engagement of Dr. Danko Skaloški with the field of philology remains a notable contribution to the academic community at the Philological Faculty.
