Arsym Suleymanov Zekeli, Former OSCE Ambassador, Dies Unexpectedly
The family of Arsym Suleymanov Zekeli announced his passing on June 8th, 2026, following an unexpected death at the age of 59. The news was initially shared by his brother, Dr. Shefket Zekeli, who informed family, friends, and colleagues of the loss.
“With great pain and sadness, we announce that Arsym Suleymanov Zekeli passed away unexpectedly this morning,” the family statement read. Arsym Zekeli, born in 1966, was a prominent figure in Macedonia, previously serving as an ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna. He was also recognized for his work as an analytical journalist within Macedonia.
The funeral ceremony will be held today at 18:00 at the cemetery in Blazec. Minister for Internal Affairs, Antonio Milosovski, expressed his condolences, stating, “Arsym Zekeli’s memory is forever with us. We are in deep sympathy with him.”
