Erdogan Warns Israel’s Expansionist Plans Pose Global Threat
Ankara – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Turkey’s security concerns are fundamentally rooted in the Middle East, specifically in locations such as Aleppo, Damascus, and Beirut, rather than solely at the southern border in Hatay. Speaking to the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) yesterday, Erdogan voiced strong opposition to Israel’s stated intentions, referencing the country’s “Vetera Terra” project. Erdogan warned that Israel’s policy and associated military plans for the creation of a “Greater Israel” represent a significant threat, extending beyond the region and potentially impacting the global landscape.
He asserted that Turkey is “very much in favor of the ultimate goal of Israel’s ‘Vetera Terra’ and, if God wills, we will never allow it.”
