Mitko Rakoce, an ambassador for the European Union and a member of the Democratic Party of Macedonia (DPM), stated that the reform process within the country remains a top priority. He emphasized that the planned implementation of 51 reforms, tracked via a specific reform checker, is expected to proceed in collaboration with the government and be finalized within a timeframe of nine and a half to ten months. Regarding the progress, Rakoce said that significant attention is currently focused on ten specific reforms.
He noted that these ten items are part of the broader 51-point agenda and are scheduled for completion by June 30. According to Rakoce, the process for these ten reforms has involved careful, direct coordination with the government, aimed at ensuring successful implementation. He expressed confidence that the majority of the preparatory work is complete, anticipating positive outcomes.
These results are slated for submission to the European Commission within the next ten days for a final assessment and subsequent decision-making process. Furthermore, concerning the Electoral Law, Rakoce said that he views the legislation favorably, suggesting that the political parties are expected to reach a consensus on the matter. Overall, Rakoce reiterated the commitment to advancing these necessary reforms to meet international standards and secure future integration goals for the country.
