A 70-year-old tourist from Macedonia was rescued after losing consciousness in the water at Nea Peramos, Greece. The incident occurred while the tourist was swimming in the sea. According to reports, the individual suddenly lost consciousness and was discovered by a Greek rescuer.

Quickly assessing the situation, the rescuer swiftly brought the tourist to safety, removing him from the water. Notably, the rescue team utilized an oxygen tank to assist in reviving the individual. Photographs circulating on protothema.gr depicted the oxygen tank, which proved crucial in restoring the tourist’s breathing.

Without the need for resuscitation, the rescuer administered oxygen, successfully returning the tourist to consciousness. Following the rescue, the individual was transported to a local hospital. After receiving treatment and observation for two days, he was discharged.

Adounis Kiourtsidis, the supervisor of the rescue team, confirmed the successful outcome. The tourist had gone to the water and was promptly rescued, highlighting the swift response of the Greek rescue services.
