GOOD NEWS FROM TEREN – At the end of the first district of Patta, Prilep – Bitola

According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, the construction of the A1 motorway connecting Prilep and Bitola is advancing according to schedule. Nikoloski provided recent updates, indicating that the initial sections of the motorway are anticipated to be completed within the next year, signaling positive development in the infrastructure sector. Speaking on the progress, Nikoloski confirmed that while the final segment of the A1 motorway is currently projected for completion by the end of 2029, significant headway has already been made.

He noted that the first kilometers of the route are already substantially complete, featuring three lanes built across two directions. Furthermore, the construction of necessary supporting structures is actively underway. The A1 motorway spans a length of 40 kilometers and forms a critical component of the larger motorway package designated for corridors 8 and 10.

This major project is being executed by the consortium comprising Bechtel and Enka. Nikoloski emphasized the sustained positive momentum, stating that the current trajectory suggests good progress across multiple fronts. The minister framed the updates as positive news, confirming that the overall dynamics of the project remain strong.
