EU: Health workers will fight against corruption in health

Macedonian Health Workers to Participate in Corruption Prevention Initiative

More than 160 health workers from across North Macedonia will participate in a testing program aimed at combating corruption within the public health sector. The initiative, announced on June 22, 2026, at 10:59 a.m., is part of the “Strengthening a Fair Health Care System: Reducing Corruption in Health Care” project, spearheaded by the Association for the Emancipation, Solidarity and Equality of Women – EUE. The program focuses on bolstering the knowledge and skills of these workers in identifying, preventing, and reporting instances of corruption.

The goal is to contribute to the development of a more equitable and transparent health system. Participants will undergo assessments designed to reinforce best practices in addressing corruption risks. This initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to tackling corruption within the health sector.

The project seeks to empower health workers to actively engage in safeguarding the integrity of the system and ensuring fair access to healthcare services.
