Erdoğan Praises SAD-Iran Agreement as “Important Contract”
ISTANBUL – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed satisfaction on Monday regarding the recently reached agreement between the United States and Iran, characterizing it as “a very important contract” that concludes a period of conflict. Erdoğan attributed the circumstances leading to the agreement, in part, to what he described as “provocations” originating from Israel on February 28th. Speaking to reporters, the President stated that the agreement represents “a new era for the entire region,” according to Anatolia news.
He emphasized Turkey’s position, asserting that the nation is “extremely satisfied” with the agreement “in the name of the region and the entire human race.”
Erdoğan indicated that Turkey played a role in facilitating the SAD-Iran agreement. “We hope that the entire contract will open the path to lasting peace and stability,” he stated. The President’s comments follow the signing of the deal, which aims to restore the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
The agreement is viewed as a significant development in regional relations.
