Public Transport Schedules Impacted by Skopje-Veles Bridge Completion
The completion of the Skopje-Veles bridge will necessitate a temporary suspension of public transport planning activities within the region. Effective immediately until July 1st, revisions to existing routes connecting Skopje, Gevgelija, and Bilohorevo will be postponed. Specifically, adjustments to routes 611 (06.20) and 631 (16.55) between Gevgelija and Skopje, along with routes 630 (04.30) and 632 (17.02) connecting Gevgelija and Skopje, are currently on hold.
Similarly, planning for routes 641 (07.06) and 645 (20.05) between Skopje and Bilohorevo, and routes 640 (03.10) and 644 (18.22) connecting Bilohorevo and Skopje, are also suspended. Furthermore, revisions to routes involving Bilohorevo, including the 642 (12.46) route to Veles and the 645 (20.05) route between Veles and Skopje, as well as the 640 (03.10) and 644 (18.22) routes connecting Bilohorevo and Skopje, are being deferred. The operational Skopje-Veles bridge will open on July 22, 2026, creating the need for this temporary pause in transport planning.
