Skopje – Following successful negotiations, North Macedonia and Turkey have finalized agreements for direct airline and cargo train transport between the two nations. Vicepremier and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski announced the developments on his Facebook profile, citing the work of Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat and Minister of Transport Abdulkader Uraλογlu. The agreements, established within the framework of the annual Macedonian-Turkish business forum held in Istanbul, will facilitate regular transport routes.
The Turkish Ministry of Trade confirmed the initiative via the social network “H,” stating that both countries are continuing to advance these strategic transport links. Specifically, the initiatives involve a direct airline route between Ankara and Skopje, alongside the implementation of cargo train transport services. This represents a significant step in bolstering trade and economic cooperation between North Macedonia and Turkey.
