Confirmed – Putin corrected the law on the medium scale with Berlin

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that a secret meeting involving high-ranking German and Russian officials took place in Baku during the middle of July. According to reports cited by “Bloomberg,” the gathering was intended to discuss potential pathways toward an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Speaking during a press conference in Berlin with German official Friedrich Merz, Aliyev addressed the matter.

He stated that Azerbaijani authorities conducted searches of their territory regarding the potential meeting, which occurred without prior knowledge of the government. While declining to provide specific details, Aliyev confirmed the existence of the clandestine gathering, noting that the petitioners for his leave were aware of the event. Aliyev specified that the alleged meeting took place between July 12th and July 14th.

Furthermore, the President asserted that should the primary objective of the discussion be the resolution of the war in Ukraine, Azerbaijan possesses the capability to contribute to that effort. The remarks from Aliyev suggest an active interest from Baku in international diplomatic efforts concerning the ongoing conflict. His public statement characterizes the meeting as a significant diplomatic development involving major global powers.

Through his comments, Aliyev conveyed Azerbaijan’s willingness to engage in dialogue aimed at achieving a comprehensive peace settlement.
