The Ohrid Camp for High-Tech Excellence 2026 has launched, an initiative organized by MAK2025 and held under the patronage of President Gjorge Ivanov. The program is currently hosting 23 young participants, aged 11 to 15, dedicated to advanced technological learning. The cohort demonstrates a significant connection to the region, comprising 10 students from various cities across Macedonia, alongside 13 students who represent the Macedonian diaspora, hailing from locations including SAO, Germany, Malta, Serbia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Notably, all participating students are drawn from socially disadvantaged families, ensuring their attendance through fully funded scholarships. The core objective of the camp is to provide an intensive, one-week curriculum designed to advance the technical knowledge and practical abilities of the students. The curriculum is highly focused on modern technological fields, including robotics, programming, coding, and innovation.
Beyond the technical modules, the camp is structured around a broader developmental mission. By bringing together talented students from both within Macedonia and from international diaspora communities, the program aims to foster skills that extend beyond the classroom. The event serves as a platform to encourage the next generation of innovators while addressing educational equity for underprivileged youth.
The gathering in Ohrid highlights a commitment to investing in high-tech education across the region.
