BACTERIA IN WATER IN THE TANK – Water from the well is not without danger to drink

Residents of Krusevo are advised to avoid using tap water for consumption due to bacteriological contamination. Testing conducted by Centarot’s analysis for a healthy life—Prilep indicated that the municipal water supply is unsafe. Furthermore, the local utility, “Komuna,” reported that the water contains elevated levels of red blood cell bacteria and a deficiency in disinfectant, rendering it unfit for consumption.

According to the utility’s statement, tests conducted on July 20 identified both the benzine pump and St. Petka wells as bacterially unsafe and unsuitable to drink. Consequently, “Komuna” has issued a warning advising the public not to use the city water supply for any purposes, including personal hygiene, food preparation, or washing.

These findings underscore significant public health risks associated with the current state of the municipal supply. Authorities are urging residents to seek alternative, verified sources of potable water until the contamination issues are resolved. The presence of harmful bacteria necessitates extreme caution regarding any water intended to drink or use in food preparation.

The public should rely on bottled or treated alternatives until official confirmation of the water’s safety is provided.
