Arben Fetaí Named Special Envoy to Brussels Following Government Restructuring
Skopje – Vice-President Izet Medžiti announced that former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Fetaí will be appointed as the Government’s Special Representative in Brussels. According to Medžiti, Fetaí submitted his resignation from the Deputy Prime Minister position to undertake this new role, focused on representing the government’s interests within European institutions. Over the past two months, Fetaí had largely ceased participation in government sessions and public activities related to his previous portfolio, prompting public reaction.
Medžiti stated that coalition partners within the government initially agreed on the necessity of a revised ministerial composition. However, discussions regarding specific resource allocation and future personnel decisions remain ongoing. The coalition partners have not yet engaged in detailed negotiations regarding the distribution of ministerial responsibilities or definitive personnel arrangements.
The appointment of Arben Fetaí is intended to bolster the government’s engagement with the European Union.
