Institute for Health Raises Questions Regarding Albanian Minority Plan
Skopje – Concerns have been raised regarding the progress of the Albanian minority plan following a recent visit by the Institute for Health. Christian Mitkoski, speaking on behalf of the Institute, questioned the Macedonian government’s actions regarding the proposed plan. The Institute’s representative highlighted that the Albanian plan is now finalized and has received informal agreement from twenty-six European Union member states.
However, one country remains unconvinced. An expert from the European Commission, involved in the plan’s development, stated that “no country has it done” and that the agreement is currently held informally. Mitkoski specifically inquired about the plan’s relevance to a single nation, prompting a response of “when I would know, I would give an answer.” The Institute for Health’s visit underscores the ongoing debate surrounding the implementation of the Albanian plan and its potential impact within the region.
The finalized plan remains a point of contention, with differing opinions among member states. Further clarification regarding the government’s strategy and the reasons for the dissenting view is expected.
