Police Seize Motor Saw and Trees Following Investigation in Mirkovci
On June 15, 2026, at 13:25, police apprehended a minor in connection with unauthorized tree cutting activities in the village of Mirkovci. The incident followed an ongoing investigation prompted by concerns regarding activity at the “Vraji Vira” location. According to police reports, the Mirkovci Police Department, in collaboration with the Crime Investigations Department of Chairo, detained the minor at approximately 16:00 on June 14th.
Further investigation by the Shumen Police Department revealed evidence of unauthorized tree removal within a plot of land. A motor saw was seized, along with several trees that were reportedly cut down. Police secured the scene and took possession of the equipment and felled trees.
The investigation is ongoing. The seventy-year-old resident of Skopje, identified as Blazec, was also detained following similar activity at “Vraji Vira,” initiated by individuals from Mirkovci. The seized motor saw and trees are currently under police control.
