FOR THE “CARPOSHOV CULTURAL SUMMER”: Ten days of music, film and the ability to visit more locations

From August 20 to August 30, the town of Karpoš will host the annual “Karpoš Cultural Lento,” an event dedicated to celebrating local arts and culture. The program, which was formally presented at a press conference on August 17 at the Karpoš Municipality hall, is scheduled over ten days of diverse programming. The initiative aims to bring rich cultural experiences to various points across the city, moving beyond traditional venues.

Participating locations include the “Delphi” square in Vela and Plato on “Milet,” as well as sites at Karpoš 3, Baradzi, the local Cinema, the office of the OU “Petar Pop Arsovski,” the main city square, and the municipal building. The scope of the festival is comprehensive, featuring ten days of activities that encompass the full spectrum of Macedonian artistic expression. Program highlights include showcasing the contemporary Macedonian music scene, exploring cultural heritage, presenting visual arts, cinema screenings, folklore performances, and dedicated sections for children’s creativity.

The event structure emphasizes both traditional cultural elements and modern urban life. A central focus of the entire Lento remains the promotion of domestic Macedonian creation. By decentralizing the event across multiple key locations, the organizers ensure broad community engagement while providing a robust platform for local artists.

The festival serves as a significant annual cultural gathering, celebrating the depth and breadth of the region’s artistic output through music and various creative disciplines.
