Governor Oleh Kirper confirmed that an attack took place at a stadium in Odesa, resulting in injuries. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM, shortly after air defense authorities issued warnings regarding the approach of swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles. The facility, located in the center of Odesa near the city’s port, sustained significant structural damage.

Reports indicate that portions of the roof were destroyed, numerous windows were broken, and the stadium stands were damaged. Regarding casualties, authorities confirmed that one individual, a 29-year-old woman present at the venue, was injured and received immediate medical assistance on site. The timing of the attack coincided with local sporting events.

While the Ukrainian Premier League had commenced, the preliminary match scheduled to take place at the stadium was postponed until the following day. Separate reports claim that Russian forces targeted the home arena of the Chornomorets football club, resulting in injuries to a woman. Kirper said that the facility experienced considerable damage during the assault.

The combination of military action and sporting activity meant that the venue was severely impacted. The situation prompted immediate security responses and necessitated the postponement of scheduled sporting fixtures.
