THE POLICE FILLED HALF A TON OF DRUGS, COUNTERCAMPAIGN PRODUCTS OFFERED

Early this morning, the Criminalistics Police Department (UCP) conducted an operation in Smederevo, leading to the discovery and closure of an illegal laboratory dedicated to the production and processing of opium-based narcotics. During the police operation, authorities secured the premises and documented various materials. Investigators reported that the facility contained digital scales and substantial quantities of packaging materials.

The total estimated amount of seized narcotics was approximately half a ton. Beyond the drugs, the police found a variety of specialized equipment, including special LED and UV lamps, inhalers, thermometers, gas detectors, and automatic systems designed for industrial fans and carbon filtration. Furthermore, the site revealed evidence of the drug production cycle.

A large number of drug stems, currently in a ripening stage, were recovered, alongside a significant cache of drugs that had already been prepared and packaged for subsequent sale. Upon concluding the search, several individuals were located at the site and subsequently detained by the police. The operation highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to dismantle illicit drug manufacturing networks operating within the region.

The seizure of the equipment and the volume of materials underscore the scale of the illegal operation uncovered by the authorities.
