At least 14 people were killed, and 22 were injured following a significant Russian military strike on Kyiv. The assault involved the use of ballistic missiles and unmanned drones, marking one of the most severe attacks on the Ukrainian capital this year, according to reports from the BBC. Following the incident, Mayor Vitali Klitschko indicated that cleanup efforts were ongoing, noting that debris remained across buildings damaged by the shelling.

During the overnight assault, Kyiv City State Administration officials expressed concern over the frequency of such hostile actions. A representative from the administration stated that repeated, large-scale attacks targeting Kyiv were unacceptable. The air assault lasted for more than an hour, with Kyiv and its surrounding areas subjected to bombardment from ballistic missiles.

At one point, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that the attack was still in progress. The coordinated nature of the attack, utilizing both missiles and drones, resulted in substantial civilian casualties. Authorities are currently managing the aftermath of the bombardment, which has caused widespread damage.

The focus remains on casualty management and the systematic clearance of rubble from the affected areas following the intense aerial bombardment.
