NO NEW CASES OF WEST NILE VIRUS DISEASE, Health Ministry informs

The Ministry of Health has reported that there have been no new laboratory-confirmed instances of West Nile fever. Authorities confirm that the epidemiological situation within the Gostivar area remains stable and is under continuous monitoring by relevant health institutions. Regarding surveillance data as of August 1, preliminary examination figures showed a total of 57 tests registered, marking an increase of three examinations compared to the previous day’s count of 60.

Officials noted that there have been no new hospitalizations related to the condition. In broader public health metrics, the total number of formal notifications for infectious diseases recorded as of August 1 reached 1,041. Furthermore, 734 new epidemiological surveys have been completed across the monitored areas.

These reports indicate that while surveillance remains active, there are no concerning developments regarding the transmission of West Nile fever.
