Minister of Health Sašo Klepovski reported that medical assistance was promptly provided to all individuals injured during the recent period, confirming that the nation’s health infrastructure maintained continuous operation despite external pressures. He emphasized that the functioning of local hospital facilities remained uninterrupted. Specific reports detailed the level of care provided at key institutions.
At the Municipal Hospital “Sveti Naum Ohridski” in Skopje, medical attention was administered to 22 individuals, resulting in two patients requiring overnight stays. Furthermore, the Traumatology Department at the Clinical Center “Mother Teresa” treated 11 people, three of whom sustained injuries. According to Klepovski, all injured patients are currently in stable condition.
While the period presented operational challenges, including financial strain at several health facilities, the core services continued. At the GOB “8 September,” although the facility housed an older blood-vessel construction, the hospital structure sustained no damage and continued normal operations. The Minister confirmed that the capacity of the medical system to respond to acute incidents remained robust throughout the challenging time.
Overall, the continuity of care provided across the network of hospital facilities was highlighted as a significant achievement for the national health sector.
