On September 8, a new method for the diagnosis of heart attack was introduced

A new diagnostic method for detecting heart attacks was recently implemented at the Timot Interventional Cardiology Center within the Municipal Hospital (GOB) “8 September” in Skopje. This marks the first time the procedure has been introduced in Macedonia. The Ministry of Health has officially approved the innovative technology, named “Coroflow” (CoroFlow).

This advanced diagnostic tool assists cardiologists by enabling the precise determination of circulatory disturbances within the heart muscle. The implementation of this system was formally announced on September 8th, following its initial introduction on July 4th, 2026. The primary benefit of the Coroflow method lies in its ability to enhance the diagnosis and subsequent planning for third-degree cardiac events.

Experts note that this technology is particularly valuable in instances where traditional diagnostic procedures may fail to detect the underlying circulatory issues. By providing a detailed assessment of blood flow dynamics, Coroflow offers clinicians a more comprehensive view of cardiac health. The adoption of this advanced diagnostic capability represents a significant advancement in cardiovascular care within the country.

The availability of Coroflow ensures that patients benefit from state-of-the-art diagnostic pathways, leading to improved treatment planning and patient outcomes for complex cardiac conditions.
