REPEATED WITH WELES AND GEVGELIJA – JP Železnice Infrastructure is closing the route!

The State Enterprise Railways Infrastructure has announced the resumption of passenger train services on the Skopje-Veles line. These services had been suspended due to ongoing construction work associated with the “City Train” project, specifically within the section connecting Skopje station to the Greenikovo station. The service interruption period began last month, coinciding with repair activities for the initial phase of the “City Train.” This project aims to establish a connection route passing through Drachevo, Lisiche, and the Airport to the main Transport Center.

According to the announcement, passenger train services are scheduled to restart on several key routes. On the Skopje – Gevgelija line, services will operate on July 3, 2026, with departures scheduled for 611 (at 06:20) and 631 (at 16:55) on July 2, 2026. For the return journey, the Gevgelija – Skopje route will see services resume on July 3, 2026, with departures at 17:02 (train 632) and 04:30 (train 630) on the same day.

Furthermore, service will be restored on the Skopje – Veles route. The resumption of service on this corridor is expected to provide passengers with a repeated connection schedule, ensuring continued rail connectivity between the major hubs. The infrastructure confirms that these updated schedules reflect the operational status following the completion of the initial construction phase.
