From Tuesday through August 31, the region will implement a revised summer schedule for public transportation, accompanied by specific movement restrictions for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) exceeding 15 tonnes in combined mass. These regulations establish defined time windows for reduced vehicle movement across the jurisdiction. Under standard operating conditions, restrictions are scheduled for specific daily periods.
On weekdays, movement restrictions are enforced during the evening hours, specifically between 7 pm and 10 pm. Saturdays will observe restrictions from 9 am to 5 pm, while Sundays are subject to limitations between 9 am and 8 pm. In addition to these daily schedules, alternative time frames have been identified for consideration.
These include a defined six-hour period spanning from 5 pm to 9 pm, another six-hour period scheduled from 9 am to 1 pm, and a third six-hour period set from 9 am to 5 pm. Furthermore, an advisory system is in place to account for extreme weather. Should temperatures reach levels deemed extremely high, the restrictions for Monday through Thursday will be adjusted.
During such instances, the movement restrictions will be active for a specific six-hour period, commencing from 11 am and concluding at 5 pm. Adherence to these scheduled periods is mandatory for all commercial transport operators.
