Sali: The Ordinary Court is a separate institution for the cleaning of the streets in Tetovo that would not be complied with the procedures

Bekim Sali, Vicepremier and the Minister for European Integration, addressed the controversy surrounding properties located on the streets of Tetovo, stating that the Constitutional Court has annulled the previous decision concerning these assets. According to Sali, the initial ruling lacked the necessary legal basis and proper procedural execution. In a statement, Bekim Sali asserted that the decision issued in 2007 was enacted solely by advisors, without the requisite approval from the government, and characterized it as having been made in a “non-national manner.” He further clarified that the city of Tetovo is currently initiating new, formal procedures for the reduction of properties, ensuring adherence to all existing and current legislation.

Furthermore, Sali commented on the recent demonstrations, suggesting that the protests organized by the DUI party are politically motivated. He attributed the core issues regarding street properties to what he termed “improvizations” stemming from a period of weak governance. He concluded by noting that the public demonstrations regarding these properties were, in his view, rooted in claims of “irregularities.”

Through these remarks, Bekim Sali emphasized the need for legal adherence in managing public and private assets within Tetovo.

The statements aim to guide the public understanding toward the legal framework governing property rights, distinguishing between the invalidated past decisions and the new, regulated processes currently being established.
