The Ministry of Interior has announced the detention of a 51-year-old man from the village of Taor, Skopje, on suspicion of involvement in the death of his former spouse, a 48-year-old woman from the same community. According to the Ministry, police officers from the SVR Skopje apprehended the man, identified only by the initials S.G., on June 28th at 1:20 AM. He was taken into custody due to existing grounds for suspicion related to the alleged murder of his wife, identified as J.G.
The sequence of events began on June 26th, when the man reported to the police station that his spouse had left their shared home. A day later, on June 27th, he reported having located her body near the village of Letevci in Skopje. Upon arrival at the scene, police officers and a public prosecutor were present.
Following the prosecutor’s directive, the deceased’s body was transferred to forensic medicine for a full autopsy. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The man is being held in connection with these serious allegations, and further legal proceedings may see him formally indicted on charges related to the death.
