Fuel Prices in the Region Reflect Variation, with Macedonia Reporting Lowest Costs

Current fuel prices across the Balkans exhibit significant variation, with Macedonia reporting the lowest prices for both diesel and petrol within the region. As of today, diesel costs €1.25 and petrol costs €1.34 in Macedonia. Comparing regional benchmarks, Albania currently offers the lowest diesel price at €1.89 per liter, with decant prices averaging €1.87.

Serbia follows closely with diesel costs at €1.77 per liter. Other neighboring countries demonstrate differing prices: Greece reports a diesel price of approximately €1.73, Croatia at €1.59, Montenegro at €1.55, and Bosnia and Herzegovina at €1.53. For petrol, Greece currently lists the lowest price at €2.00 per liter.

Albania’s petrol price stands at €1.89, while Montenegro’s price is €1.57 and Serbia’s is €1.56. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s petrol price is currently listed as well. These varying costs reflect ongoing market fluctuations and differences in national energy policies.

The data highlights the range of prices consumers are experiencing across the region, with Macedonia offering a notably competitive price point.
