Washington – President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran, stating that the regime would continue to face consequences unless it ceased supporting its proxies in Lebanon. The statement, delivered via his social network, “Trut Suhll,” directly addressed Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed armed group currently engaged in ongoing tensions with Israel. Trump asserted that Iran should prohibit its proxies within Lebanon, which he characterized as “causing problems.” He stated that failure to comply would result in “severe” repercussions, echoing the language used in reference to previous “unlawful actions.”
The administration’s stance comes as Iran is reportedly considering the situation in Lebanon as a key point of discussion in upcoming diplomatic talks scheduled in Switzerland with American representatives.
