“I’m not giving up, Nika, Nika, Nika, I’m not giving up” Orban re-elected as leader of Fides

The main opposition party in Hungary, Fidesz, nominated the former prime minister Viktor Orbán as leader for one year, and in the meantime the party lost power in the elections on April 12 to the center-right party Tisa. (62) Orbán was an inspiration for the right-wing conservatives in Europe and the SDA as the creator of what he called the “illiberal” model of democracy. According to Fidesz, Orbán’s political future was put in jeopardy, and he was pushed out of politics by some right-wing liberals to be replaced by a politician who is open to criticism.

In the party’s congress for the re-election of Orbán, the vote was 729 out of a total of 737 delegates, reported the state agency MTI. He had no opponent. “I will not give up, never, never,” he said.
