Macedonian text: Photo: The Institute of Pediatric Medicine received the insecticide methodol, known as laban, which was discovered in salami packaging, and established the Institute of Pediatric Medicine. Salami packaging was found in the settlement of Rasadnik in Kisela Voda, in the immediate vicinity of the children’s playground, just 15 meters away from the Institute of Pediatric Medicine. According to the report, the suspicious food was noticed by children who informed their parents, and the samples were sent for toxicological analysis.
“This is a high-toxicity insecticide, which is banned for use and for export in the EU and Macedonia, due to its low toxicity and the possibility of abuse, with the aim of causing harm to animals,” the Institute of Pediatric Medicine said. From the Institute of Pediatric Medicine, they also report that on 15th May, a massive outbreak of houseflies was recorded in the same settlement.
